Made this unnaturally large daddy long leg! God help you if you happen to stumble upon this thing in the woods. This monstrosity has a leg span nearly twice the diameter of a large serving plate. It comes out of irradiated debris to eat big toads and small mammals.
This is my first organic asset that I have textured in Painter. It was a great learning experience, and I can't wait to do more creepy looking stuff!
Initially I didn't plan to put this thing in an environment like this, but after using debris generator and some bits and pieces of arch models for the foliage; I couldn't resist trying to make it more cinematic.
In addition to my typical modeling/texturing/rendering process, I took a stab at creating a basic rig to control the poses. I was pleased to be able to finally comprehend a little more about rigging.
